Video capture

Recommended Posts

I want to set up a way to record my VHS tapes to my PC, then edit same before burning them to DVD. I also would like to input my satellite receiver's signal so I can record and/or just view programs on my PC. Kim's store item won't work. It's not USB 3 compliant, and it only handles VHS/DVD input, not satellite. I've looked at several Video capture cards, but cannot decipher the tech jargon to determine which card (if any) I should buy/use. I've searched Tiger and New Egg, but I need help deciding what to buy. TIA for any and all replies.
