IE 11 update caused problem

Recommended Posts

After the latest update, I now cannot type in passwords on sites requiring them. I'm thinking uninstalling and reinstalling IE11 may help. Can someone please tell me how to do this or suggest alternate solution. Thank you.

Internet Explorer 11 is an integral part of Windows - it cannot be uninstalled. However, you can re-install Windows 11. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/ie-11-worldwide-languages

If this is occurring on several sites, try deleting all your cookies and temp files. Click on Tools>Internet options>General tab. Click Delete under Browsing History. Also, check Delete Browsing History on Exit. Close and restart IE. It could be an add-on problem. Go to Tools>Manage add-ons. Highlight and disable each enabled add-on one at a time, and see it that fixes the problem. If not, you can try resetting IE. Go to Tools>Internet Options>Advanced tab. At the bottom click on Reset under Reset Internet Explorer Settings, then close and restart IE.
