Mac OS X Mavericks 10.9.x -- Security Problem -- OS is infested with XPCs

Recommended Posts

A design "improvement" in Mac OS X Mavericks (10.9.x) is giving me security-concerns -- it is infested with eXternal Procedure Calls (XPCs), which, if they are anything like SUNRPCs, have the OS making subroutine-calls out to the internet .

SUNRPCs have been known to operate over TCP destination port #111 , although these XPCs may possibly be on TCP dest. port #80 .

This may pose a severe security concern .

Anyone else's thoughts ?
