Photo Editing Software for Windows 7

Recommended Posts

Is there a similar photo editing program for Windows 7 to iPhoto for the Mac? I'm running Windows 7 on my Mac because I don't like some features of iPhoto. I do like the enhancing feature of iPhoto for removing blemishes or other black spots on scanned images. I've been scanning some slides for a friend, and I want the images to look as good as possible.

Thanks!

Amy

Adobe has an entire line of products for Windows photo editing, from Photoshop CC, and Photoshop Lightroom for professionals to Photoshop Elements and Premier Elements for the home.

You can also use Windows Paint for basic editing which is free in Windows 7.  Just look under accessories.  One I have used and liked is the free Paint.net http://www.komando.com/downloads/579/photo-editor-for-intermediate-users .  There is also Google's Picasa for basic editing http://www.komando.com/downloads/896/organize-edit-and-post-your-photos or GIMP, which is more complicated, but still free and available for either Windows, Mac OS X or Linux http://www.komando.com/downloads/578/a-free-alternative-to-photoshop .
