When I hook up to the computer it doesn't acknowledge the phone, also tried it on an HP!

My thoughts is if I can upload the photos I can improve my phone, Locks up often.

When I hook up the Phone to the computer it doesn't acknowledge the phone.

Are you suggesting download Google Drive to my phone then upload my photos to Google Drive then from there try to upload to the MAC?

Do you think it would work if the MAC doesn't acknowledge the phone, in your opinion do you think it will improve the phone if i get rid of the photos?

Thanks for any help you may provide!

With Mac & iOS, I would suggest more Dropbox or Apple's cloud system rather than Google Drive, then upload the photos from the iPhone to the Apple cloud system, then download from the Apple cloud to your Mac, so you can ignore the USB cabling problems.

If you want to use your USB or can't download a client for Apple's cloud to your Motorola phone, look at https://www.android.com/intl/en_us/filetransfer/   for Mac software to access MTP or PTP file systems from your Mac over a USB cable.  Read this thread http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/106156/does-mavericks-support-mtp  for a discussion, evidently the file transfer program doesn't work with all phones.
