Are the new Intel "i9"-series of CPUs, to be affected, by the Meltdown & Spectre, flaws ?

Recommended Posts

AFAIK, all processors from Intel OR AMD which pre-fetch instructions to speed up processing are affected, from the Pentium to the i9.  They are going to have to completely redesign the processors or patch the software.  Or you can run a MIPS, PowerPC, or ARM processor, but Windows 10 is only available on ARM devices like the Raspberry Pi 3 and some Microsoft Surface devices.

Thank you .

Actually, I shouldn't have mentioned "Meltdown"-flaws, since, supposedly, THAT is now "patch-able", but a portion of the "Spectre"-flaws, is only correctable, in hardware .

Please keep me posted, when hardware is available, that fixes this, as I will be in the market, to buy the fix !
